A good win for Sidcup 2 team this week beating Lewisham 7 1-3 with wins for Keith Thompson, Ken Grist and Leon Hopkins.

Keith and Leon got the match off to a good start both winning their games and finishing at about the same time with both their opponents making a few blunders to give Sidcup an early 2 -0 lead.

Unfortunately, Dennis made a blunder from a winning position and lost quickly after that giving Lewisham a chance of a draw as Ken was in a difficult position at the time. However, a blunder by Delroy Bennett (Lewisham) on move 22 combined with careful play by Ken, meant the result was never in doubt, giving Sidcup a well deserved 3-1 win.
