On Thursday 23rd January our Harvey Cup team maintained its 100% record by defeating Beckenham & Bromley 3.5 - 2.5 at their new venue. Ken Smith again won quickly and Don Chapman defeated someone 33 grading points stronger than him. Gary Sharp pressed, but had to concede that the pawn ending was drawn and then Bob Mitchell closed out the match by reaching a winning rook ending.
