In my last post I left our first team with 3 out of 3 match points in their group.

The next match was the crunch match against Beckenham, since both teams were favourites to win their last match. Beckenham had already dropped a match point and needed a big win to overtake us on game points scored (with match points equal). In the event they did beat us by 11 points to 5 putting them 1 game point ahead of us.

In the final match we beat Lewisham by a respectable 11 points to 5, but Beckenham beat Medway by 13 points to 3 putting them in the semi-final.

All the players seemed to enjoy this fun summer tournament and we can hope to improve next year.
