The Tom Fuller Cup team finished their season finished their season with a 3 - 1 win over Beckenham, although for a long time it looked likely to be a 1.5 - 2.5 loss.

Boye Sodeke played solidly in his second game for the club and drew. Josh McGuire won an excellently played rook ending. However, the other two games looked difficult even quite late on. Dave Avery had played a fine sacrificial attack, but chose the wrong path and was left with a queen against two rooks and an extra, passed, pawn. However his opponent played sub-optimally and ran into a mate. Meanwhile Chris Cheeseman had played an unsound opening and at one stage was four pawns down for no real compensation, but he kept posing his opponent problems and reached a very decent position by the time he accepted his opponent’s draw offer to end the match.
