Chris Foster-Jones sadly passed away in March, 2025. He had been a member of the old Swanley Chess Club since the 1970s but after there ceased to be a chess club in the Swanley area he went to Dartford and in 2005 to Sidcup. He remained a member until Covid but found that without a car he could not return after the club reopened.
