The last league season is in the past. We did not come close to winning anything; Chris Cheeseman (5/7 game points) and Chris Pleas (6/8 game points) did well individually.

Now we can turn to the Kent Summer Quickplay tournament. This is a team handicap tournament of games lasting 30 minutes where the weaker player gets more time than the stronger player.

We won our first match against Gravesend 2 by 10.5 game points to 5.5 game points. Mohammad Imran Ali won all four of his games and in one game had a nice mate in a complicated position with many pieces on. Greg Edwards and James Wagstaff each scored three points and Boye Sodeke drew one game.

We lost our second match against a strong Lewisham team even more decisively by 4 points to 11. Mohammad Imran Ali scored two of our points and Greg Edwards and Tony Packham scored one point each.
